Good Words from My New Oxford Dictionary for Writers and Editors

November 11, 2014 § Leave a comment

Yes, this is exciting. I had the writers and editors version in my Oxford style manual but now I have the LATEST EDITION, which was only released in August!

Many pleasure, much enjoy:

  • Cordon sanitaire – the barrier around an area of quarantine
  • Glistering – synonymous with glittering
  • Corniche – a road cut through a cliff
  • Clangour – much banging or ringing

I only knew clangour out of those delicious words, what a treat!
