#WhyImVotingUkip – The Best Thing on Twitter

You’ve probably seen or heard about the whole #WhyImVotingUkip thing. It’s fabulous. Never has the hijacking of a hashtag been so funny and so powerful. Kids that aren’t even old enough to vote are tweeting sarcastic pokes at Ukip – amazing.
Well, I think Ukip will certainly see an impact on voter turnout today, but it probably won’t be the one they hoped for. People who were previously ambivalent may very well pop down to the polling station just because they want to smash Ukip’s pint-fuelled dreams.
The way to the British heart is through our snark.
